Frequently Asked Questions

  • True Worth of the Kitten: It's important to recognise that simply being an imported kitten does not automatically guarantee the best quality. While some may associate imported kittens with superior quality, it's crucial to consider the individual breeder's reputation, breeding practices, and the care provided to the kittens. Our cattery prioritises the health, temperament, and overall well-being of our kittens through responsible breeding practices, meticulous care, and a commitment to upholding high standards. We believe that the true worth of a kitten lies not in an import tag but in the quality of care, genetics, and socialisation provided to each and every kitten we offer.

Breakdown of Costs: The higher prices of our kittens are influenced by several factors, including the costs associated with importing our breeding cats from other countries. Importing kittens involves significant expenses, such as import taxes, air shipping fees, quarantine costs, and other logistical expenses. It's important to note that when purchasing an imported kitten, a considerable portion of the price you pay goes towards covering these logistical expenses, rather than the actual value of the kitten itself.

For instance, each of our own imported breeding cats costs easily over $10,000 per cat. Additionally, the logistics expenses, including import taxes, air shipping fees, and quarantine costs, amount to approximately $2,000 to $4,000 per cat. When you purchase an imported kitten for $5,000 to $6,000, it's essential to consider how much of that price is actually going towards the kitten itself.

By sourcing your kitten locally from us. You can eliminate the need for expensive international shipping and associated fees. This allows us to allocate a greater portion of the price towards the quality of care, breeding standards, and overall value of the kitten. It ensures that you are paying a fair price for the actual value of the kitten, rather than primarily covering logistics expenses.

  • Please book a viewing/consultation session with us. Each viewing session can be booked at $28/pax for 1.5 hrs. Should you subsequently purchase a cat with us, this fee will be deducted from the cost.

  • Yes, we can put you on the waiting list. You can secure your place with a deposit of $500. This amount will be deducted from the cost when you purchase your cat with us.

  • The parent cats we use to breed our litters have all been medically checked and gene tested for genetic and congenital diseases and health conditions common to the breed. We also conduct annual heart check-ups as an added precaution and cover your cat’s first 3 vaccinations and a 5-day internal deworming course with fenbendazole syrup starting on the 42nd, 60th, 78th, 96th and 128th day from the birth of the kitten. We also apply external deworming/ heartworm prevention products such as Revolution or Advocate every month starting from 2 months of age. As cats are more susceptible to FIP in their first 2 years of life, we also provide a 2-year health guarantee against FIP in addition to a 1-year guarantee against congenital diseases.

  • Our kittens/cats eat 3 meals a day, every 8 hours. The first 2 meals are our homemade raw food consisting of beef and chicken. While we recommend you continue this raw diet when you take your cat home, we understand you may prefer to opt for commercial pet food. That is why, for the third meal of the day, we feed our cats kibbles so that they can readily adapt to the food you may want to feed them.

  • We only release kittens for homing once they have been surgically neutered or spayed. This typically happens at around 4-5 months old. If you don’t want to wait that long (we know you want to bring your furball home as soon as possible!), you have the option of bringing them home at 3 months of age upon placing a guarantee of up to 1x the kitten price, which we will refund when you bring your kitten back for sterilisation and verification at our vet clinic. We will cover the costs of the surgery.

  • The last thing we want is for our kittens to end up being breeding machines for backyard breeders. We want our kittens to go to loving homes and have a stress-free life as a pet.

    • 3 vaccinations

    • Minimally 3 rounds of internal deworming and 2 rounds of external deworming (Depending on when you are collecting your kitten)

    • Sterilisation

    • Microchip

    • Spa treatment before the collection date

    • 7 days’ worth of their barf (PMR) diet

    • 2 packets of Tofu cat litter

    • And, of course, a healthy and well-socialised kitten!

  • The cat’s welfare is our top priority. If you cannot care for your cat for any reason, we welcome you to bring it back to us. There will be no refund of fees, but we will keep the cat at our Cattery until we find a suitable home.

  • We encourage you to feed your kitten 3 times a day when they are growing., You can then switch to feeding them 2 times a day when they are 1 year old and above.

  • Absolutely not. Cats bathe themselves naturally and spend around 50% of their day cleaning themselves with their scent. If you shower them, you essentially remove their identity. Leave your cat to do its thing. The only exception is if your cat has been soiled in some way it can’t clean itself, or has become too old to groom itself. To minimise the need to bathe your cat, ensure that your living environment is clean and that cat litter trays are cleaned daily. Using quality cat litter is also essential to help your cat stay clean.

  • Good quality cat litter is vital. We use only Premium Tofu cat litter because it is dust-free and low tracking for a clean home, highly absorbent, which makes for odourless litter and is safe and non-toxic both for your cat and the environment. Since we weren’t able to find a product on the market that measured up to our standards, either because they don’t clump easily or smell bad after a few days, we decided to source our own factory to produce the cat litter as a way for us to control the material used and the quality so that the litter remains 100% safe for our cats.

  • Our breeding queens produce a maximum 2 litters every 18 months, depending on their health and physical condition.

  • Our kittens grow up with their siblings and other cats in our cattery. They eat, play and interact with each other every day. If you have only 1 cat, they will have no one to keep them company when you leave the house, which can increase the risk of them damaging your home through boredom in your absence. But more importantly, a human can never replace a cat playmate, and cats need social interaction, exercise and mental stimulation from other cats. By getting another cat, the two will keep each other company and stay out of trouble. They won’t have to jump and climb much because they’ll have a buddy to play with instead. They’ll distract each other, provide twice the amount of entertainment, and sometimes you may even find them grooming each other.

  • Yes, you can. However, we can only offer the available kittens that those have not picked on the waiting list or kittens that people on the waiting list decide to give up. Everyone keen to get a kitten from our cattery needs to fill up the Kitten Interest Form first for us to assess suitability.

  • We do not offer boarding services at our shop. However, if you got your cat from us, we offer home boarding services where we’ll take your cat into our home. We are not fans of bringing our cats to a commercial boarding facility, where we have no control over how they are treated or their health status. They may be exposed to bacterial and viral infections from other cats in the facility, and we do not want to risk that for your cat.

  • No, we do not compromise the safety of our cats. All our customers need to take a video showing a walk-around inside their home to prove the house has been cat-proofed as instructed. After vetting the video, and we decide that it is safe for our kittens, we only allow the new owner to bring their kitten home.
